Sheila Saxon hand knits and felts one-of-a-kind  alpaca hats..  Once the hat is complete, she applies her artistic skills of needle felting to create wearable fiber art. 
Sheila has sold her creations around the world, as well as on-line and in juried art shows.  In addition, she is well known in the Pacific Northwest, but has many admirers around the country.

Sheila loves doing custom hats, portraits, or pillows 

Description of work:
All purses, hats, gloves,and portraits are hand knit in 100% wool, or 100% Alpaca, or 1/2 of each; then felted, and finally needle felted. Needle felting is like painting with "roving" wool using sharp barbed needles as your paint brush. The barbs tangle the wool from the inside attaching it to the fabric. Painting with wool provides a fabulous way to add details, texture, and depth to the needle felt art. 
The adorable upcycled fleece lined mittens in wool and cashmere are hand made by Sheila from recycled wool sweaters. She chooses her colors to create unique mittens that are unlike any others. They are fleece lined, making them soft and toasty warm, and then highlighted with a little piece of her favorite needle felted art. They come in large, medium, small, and extra small. Cute, cute, cute!!
