They are made by laying wool strands on BOTH sides of the silk and then fulling it (rolling, pushing, throwing) with soapy water.The process makes the scarves  VERY soft, perfect for against the skin.. CARE INSTRUCTIONS:  You can clean your Nuno felted scarf easily. Squish under the faucet with hot or cold water with a small amount of liquid soap and then rinse. Hang to dry. (If your scarf has acquired some woolies from frequent wear, throw it on the ground when wet a few times and they will felt back in. I'm not kidding!!)
